We are looking for Director, Medical Strategy to join our growing team! Our Medical Strategy team are medical and scientific experts who are able to develop cutting-edge strategies and ensure excellence in all deliverables across the Medical team.
What you’ll do:
- Advise clients and teams across one or more Global MedComms accounts, through deep insight and clinical connections related to your therapy area and scientific expertise.
- Define strategy on new and complex business proposals in collaboration with senior team members.
- Proactively act as trusted advisor for clients using pharma sector experience.
- Provide constructive challenge to key senior clients to support strategic decision-making, acting as a soundboard, confidante, and medical business partner.
- Provide strategic institutional advice to maximise the impact of the medical programmes that we deliver.
- Identify opportunities for AI interventions and direct internal programmes related to AI implementation across the global team.
- Drive business development activities via identification of new clients and working with existing clients.
- Execute leadership in all aspects of the strategy process, from research and analysis to insight and creative brief development.
- Collaborate with other team members to analyse findings, develop insights and implications and create client presentations that deliver linear, evidence-based stories.
- Confidently take a lead facilitator role in client meetings/workshops.
What you should have:
- Previous extensive experience in a medical affairs strategy role within a Med Comms agency, pharmaceutical company or strategic consultancy.
- Strong experience and understanding of health, medicine and the pharma industry, particularly medical affairs.
- Proven experience building strong client relationships and growing business opportunities.
- Cardiorenal or diabetes experience would be preferred.
You would be expected to work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week from one of our offices across the UK (London, Manchester, Edinburgh) or Switzerland (Zurich).
