The Senior Account Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day activities on assigned accounts, with support from multi-disciplinary teams and senior levels of management. They have strong relationship-building capabilities and a passion for healthcare. They participate in client projects, collaborating with internal teams to achieve client objectives through integrated solutions. Senior Account Managers may also supervise Account Associates and Account Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop presentations, creative briefs, PR materials and other communications that are strategic and meet client objectives.
  • Ensure client feedback is gathered, understood, and addressed across deliverables.
  • Participate in development of clients' marketing strategies and tactics; collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consensus around scope and approach.
  • Evaluate and analyze data, developing succinct summaries and analyses with recommendations for clients.
  • Partner with functional-area experts within the agency in support of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee assigned project(s) fiscal performance by monitoring budgets, billing, billable hours, developing monthly projections, and reviewing activity reports and financial trackers.
  • May supervise Account Associates and Account Managers to balance workload and provide guidance and support for career progression and performance.
  • Understand and communicate clients' expectations internally to ensure staffing resources and performance expectations are met.
  • Maintain ongoing, effective communications with client peers to ensure there are no surprises and Real Chemistry's work meets all expectations.
  • Establish and meet internal client and project revenue targets.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual strategic communications planning and business analysis.
  • Manage multiple client projects of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment.
  • May participate in new business development by proactively identifying opportunities to grow existing business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have healthcare PR experience; integrated experience preferred.
  • Excellent business communication skills, including formal/informal presentation and writing; ability to present to clients; skilled in data communication; able to explain complex technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand; able to develop final documents and presentations; edit junior staff writing and presentation material; able to communicate critical information to management and the client.
  • Very comfortable working with clients directly.
  • Able to develop solutions to client needs and problems: collaborate with internal partners to strategize ideas; research market trends; understand program objectives and strategies.
  • Ability to direct and synthesize research for new business.
  • Must be highly organized, mindful of deadlines and budgets, able to multi-task and work under limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a track record of delivering high-quality deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Professional presence with a sense of urgency and strong client service orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • High energy; able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
