As our Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, installing, and improving electrical systems across our process plant environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting ongoing improvements to reliability, efficiency, and safety. Working closely with the production and engineering teams, you will help to deliver a safe and reliable operation across the site. Responsibilities: Install, commission and maintain LV electrical systems in a process plant environment. Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on electrical equipment including motors, inverters, control panels and lighting systems. Maintain and support solar power generation systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical infrastructure. Work safely and effectively in ATEX-classified hazardous areas, complying with regulations. Inspect, test and verify electrical installations in accordance with industry standards. Support electrical design modifications, upgrades and process improvements. Collaborate with production to improve reliability and performance. Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance documentation on the CMMS system. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience with LV electrical systems in industrial or process plant settings. Skilled in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems. Competent with motors, inverters, lighting systems and electrical control panels. ATEX competency certification for working in hazardous areas. Strong electrical fault-finding skills under pressure. Familiar with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar). Good knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations and best practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Qualifications: A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent) is required. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification is desirable. Experience with advanced PLC programming and integration is desirable. Knowledge of energy efficiency systems and electrical optimisation is desirable. Salary:
