Hours of employment: 08:30 to 16:50, Monday to Friday
As our Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, installing, and improving electrical systems across our process plant environment. Working closely with the production and engineering teams, you will help to deliver a safe and reliable operation across the site.
- Install, commission and maintain LV electrical systems in a process plant environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on electrical equipment including motors, inverters, control panels and lighting systems.
- Maintain and support solar power generation systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical infrastructure.
- Inspect, test and verify electrical installations in accordance with industry standards.
- Support electrical design modifications, upgrades and process improvements.
- Collaborate with production to improve reliability and performance.
Proven experience with LV electrical systems in industrial or process plant settings.
Skilled in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
Competent with motors, inverters, lighting systems and electrical control panels.
Strong electrical fault-finding skills under pressure.
Familiar with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar).
Good knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent) is required.
Experience with advanced PLC programming and integration is desirable.
Knowledge of energy efficiency systems and electrical optimisation is desirable.
