Looking for the next step in your career? Join our team! Readypower Rail Services is a growing rail plant hire company looking for a motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to support our operations. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, based from our Nottingham depot.
The role:
- Transport plant and associated equipment to pre-determined locations throughout the UK.
- Follow the guidance given by the Transport Manager and undertake duties as required.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, and daily checks are completed and undertaken, with any faults raised with the Transport and Service Managers.
- Comply with all drivers’ hours, road transport directive legislation, and follow the highway code at all times.
- Load and unload vehicles and maintain safety and security of load at all times.
- Act as a company ambassador when dealing with customers.
The work pattern is Thursday to Monday with overtime available.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge and experience of driver’s working-hours legislation, tacho-graph procedures and other legal driving obligations.
- Be able to route plan in an efficient manner.
- Experience moving heavy machinery is desirable.
- Class 1 license is desirable but not essential.
- In date and valid HIAB ticket.
- NPORS Plant Loader Securer (desirable – training will be provided for the right candidate).
- A 4-hour driving assessment will be part of the interview process.
Contract Type: Full time (Minimum 40hrs)
