Looking for the next step in your career? Join our team! Readypower Rail Services is a growing rail plant hire company looking for an experienced and motivated Depot Foreman to support our operations. Based from our Newbury depot, this is a full time position.

The role:

  • Monitor and supervise all work activities taking place in the depot.
  • Act as the first point of contact for safety, health and environmental concerns in the depot.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels that are required to keep the depot operational.
  • Brief and sign in any worker on site of the safety and environmental arrangements on that day.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Manager and Operations on weekly plant requirements, ensuring that all plant is fit for purpose and relevant maintenance inspections are carried out before leaving depot.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in and around a depot environment.
  • A sound knowledge of construction plant machinery/rail plant machinery, or similar.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • NVQ 3 in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance, or other related engineering field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and driven.
  • A full driving licence.
