Sandwich Van Driver Vacancy in Huntingdon
Ready Eats Ltd operates sandwich vans selling lunches in Huntingdon area.
We are looking for Sandwich van Driver / Sales Assistant to join our team.
You will be driving a small delivery van selling hot and cold snack and beverages, following a driving route and timetable. You will be expected to drive up to 40-70 miles a day to cover the route.
You will be working 27.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 8am and until 1.30pm.
The rate of pay starts from £12.21 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Selling hot and cold snacks and beverages
- Communicating with customers
- Taking payments (cash and card payments)
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Loading, unloading and preparing the delivery vehicle
- Inspecting the delivery vehicle, keeping up with the vehicle’s maintenance and reporting any issues to your supervisor in a timely manner
- Ensuring all paperwork is up to date and handed in on time
Requirements
We are looking for an organised and self-motivated person with a minimum 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving licence.
Experience working in catering and sales is desirable.
In addition to this, we are looking for the following skills:
- Flexible self-starter who can work without supervision
- Confident driver with a clean driving licence
- Good interpersonal skills, able to establish relationships with customers to develop sales
- Able to carry boxes
- Able to use a tablet and payment system and handle cash once trained
