The Pastoral Intervention Leader (ReFocus) works with individuals or small groups of students identifying underlying barriers to learning and then designing structured intervention pathways to support re‑engagement with school life. They work closely with students, families, teaching and pastoral teams to coordinate and deliver tailored programmes that promote regulation, positive behaviour and sustained participation in learning.
The role involves leading on planning, monitoring and evaluating interventions to ensure effective outcomes and consistent communication across teams. As a visible presence around the school, they build strong, supportive relationships, model the school’s values and contribute to a calm, inclusive and aspirational environment.
