We are looking for an experienced and motivated Network Services Engineer to join our Highways & Traffic Services team. About The Role

As Network Services Engineer, you will lead on a broad range of highway and transport engineering projects including:

  • Road safety improvements
  • Parking management initiatives
  • Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs)
  • Urban traffic management support
  • Event planning impacting the highway network

You will act as a subject matter expert within the service, providing technical leadership, project management and professional advice to stakeholders, elected members, contractors and the public. The role also includes supervising Assistant Engineers and Technicians, overseeing project budgets and contractor performance, and supporting the Network Services Manager in the delivery of key strategic objectives.

We are seeking someone with:

  • Experience delivering highway, parking, transport or traffic management schemes
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and technical guidance
  • Experience with Traffic Regulation Orders and associated legal processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Project and budget management experience
  • AutoCAD or equivalent mapping software experience
  • The ability to lead projects and supervise junior staff
