Reading Borough Council isseekingan experienced and ambitious Housing Delivery Project Officer to lead the delivery of a portfolioof housingand regeneration schemes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the borough's future through the successful delivery of new-build housing developments and major capital projects. Managing projects from inception through to completion, you will help maximise housing delivery, regenerate communities and ensure residents benefit from high-quality, sustainable and affordable homes.

About the role
As Housing Delivery Project Officer, you will:
- Deliver Housing and capital projects across the borough, working closely with a range of stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, helping to ensure schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Undertake feasibility studies to assess opportunities for remodelling, decommissioning or new development projects.
- Coordinate community engagement and consultation activities linked to development schemes.
- Support the preparation of project briefs, planning applications and procurement activities.
- Monitor project budgets, authorise invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare project reports and updates for senior managers and council committees where required.
- Represent the council at internal and external meetings, working groups and consultation events.
- Contribute to communication materials, newsletters and project-related website content.
About you
We'relooking for someone who can build positive relationships, organise complex workloads and confidently manage competing priorities.
You will have:
- Experience working within a project management environment
- Experience of working as part of a project or management team.
- Experience managing building, property or related capital projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good numerical, analytical and IT skills, including competency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- The ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands
