We’relooking for a proactive and customer-focused administrator to join our Housing Needs team. As a Choice Based Lettings Administrator,you’llplay a key role in delivering a fair, efficient and accessible allocations service, helping residents navigate housing options during what can often be a challenging time.

This is a varied and fast-paced role whereyou’llwork with a wide range of customers,partnersand internal teams to ensure applications are processed accurately and support is provided in a clear and compassionate way.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of an effective Choice Based Lettings and Housing Allocations service
  • Providing advice to customers on housing options, including the housing register,Homechoice, low-cost home ownership and mutual exchange schemes
  • Managing enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face,ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Processing applications, verifyinginformationandmaintainingaccuratecase records across multiple systems
  • Assistingcustomers who may needadditionalsupport to access the lettings scheme, ensuring equality of access
  • Liaising with internal departments and external agencies to gather and share information
  • Supporting administrative processes such as re-registrations, eligibilitychecksand maintaining statistics/reporting data
  • Contributing to fraud awareness and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation

We’relooking for someone who has:

  • Experience working in a busy, customer-focused administrative or office environment
  • Strong communicationskills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain information clearly
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Good IT skills, including experience of databases,spreadsheetsand general office systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confidence dealing with challenging or vulnerable customers in a calm and supportive way
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external partners
