Holy Brook School provides education for children aged between 4 and 11 years old who primarily have social emotional and mental health needs. Our children may be neurodivergent and have additional needs, including autism and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. We are proud to be a Reading Borough Council local authority school.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom, individually and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including social, emotional, and/or learning needs
  • Supervising pupils during break times and onsite and off-site school activities as required, including swimming and forest school
  • Contributing to reflective discussions and our ethos of collaborative working

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their learning and progress
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills

  • Has experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
