Required ASAP – 30 Hours and 50 Minutes per week (8:25 am – 3:05 pm) – Term time only plus 5 INSET days. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well‑organised individual with good communication skills and strong classroom management abilities. The role involves supervising classes when the teacher is absent, maintaining good behaviour and keeping students on task.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, focusing on maintaining good behaviour and keeping students on task.
  • Complete registration for absent teachers, ensuring registers are completed correctly.
  • Collect work set by the Head of Department or sent in by the absent teacher and use this work when supervising a class.
  • Manage student behaviour and use the School’s Behaviour for Learning procedure as necessary.
  • Collect completed work from lessons and ensure this is given to the Head of Department or other subject teacher.
