Reading Blue Coat School is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Head of Cricket and Teacher of PE to join the school from the Summer Term 2027. This is a full-time teaching role combining the leadership of cricket with Physical Education teaching.
The Role
You will manage the delivery of cricket throughout the school and teach AQA A-Level and GCSE Physical Education. Since the introduction of co-education in September 2023, the girls' cricket programme has become one of the School's newest sports programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of cricket throughout the school
- Teach AQA A-Level and GCSE Physical Education
- Contribute to the sports enrichment programme
- Deliver core PE sessions
- Help develop the School's girls' cricket programme
About You
- A good Honours degree relevant to the teaching aspects of the role
- A cricket coaching qualification that matches the high standard expected of a Head of Cricket
- Experience of playing and/or coaching cricket at a high level
- Experience of teaching the 11-18 age group, and a real passion for teaching and coaching
- The ability to teach Physical Education to A-Level is highly desirable
- A driving licence is required
