Job Overview
In this role, you will manage the School's register of policies, fulfil an internal audit function and advise the Senior Leadership Team on all aspects of regulatory compliance.
You will also provide support to the Bursar (as Clerk to the Governors) to ensure that Governors are updated on legal and compliance aspects of School activities.
Working Hours
This role may be worked as full-time or part-time at a minimum of 0.8FTE, working 37.5 hours per week from 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday (pro-rata for part-time hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the School's register of policies.
- Fulfil an internal audit function.
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team on regulatory compliance.
- Support the Bursar (Clerk to the Governors) to keep Governors informed on legal and compliance matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledgeable compliance manager with experience of legal compliance, managing risk, negotiating major contracts and managing budgets.
- Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and guidance and explain requirements in simple, practical terms to non-specialists.
- Strong project management skills and ability to think ahead.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Willingness to undergo checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check.
