Our clients, a well-established firm of Accountants, are seeking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the team. This role would appeal to a part-qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' practice experience who is looking for progression.
The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below. The role is predominantly accounts-based and therefore the candidate must possess strong accounting skills. There will be some bookkeeping work as we prepare management accounts for a small number of clients. There will be VAT returns to prepare from clients' records.
Mainly, the role will involve preparing non-audit accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses. The candidate will be exposed to assisting in some audits and should be willing to do some audit work, but experience is not essential as training will be provided. There will also be associated tax work, and again assistance and training will be provided if necessary.
The ideal candidate will be carrying out this work at a good small/medium-sized practice and wants to further their career with a progressive practice which will support their studying. Good working software knowledge of Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks is essential for this role.
