An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering projects across Northern Ireland. This role is ideal for someone with experience in civils, drainage or utilities who enjoys working on-site, taking ownership of setting out, quality, health & safety and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of projects from a construction perspective, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working alongside Project Managers and Senior Site Agents, you'll be responsible for surveying, setting out, site documentation, quality assurance and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site surveying and setting out across live projects.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager and Senior Site Agents.
- Assist in controlling plant, materials and site resources.
- Ensure all works are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site diaries and project documentation.
- Attend site meetings and help resolve technical and operational issues.
- Promote and maintain excellent health & safety standards on site.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders as required.
- Support the successful delivery of projects within programme deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civils, drainage or utilities.
- Experience of site surveying and setting out.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Relevant engineering qualification desirable.
