Three Reasons to Apply:

  • Enjoy a varied commercial role covering both Quantity Surveying and Estimating responsibilities.
  • Receive a company vehicle, healthcare package and genuine opportunities to progress your career within a successful construction business.

The Job in a Nutshell:

Essentially, your job will be to manage the commercial performance of construction projects from tender stage through to final account. You'll be responsible for procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, cost reporting and client liaison, ensuring projects remain commercially successful while maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers. You'll also have involvement in estimating and pricing work, giving you exposure to projects from pre-construction through to completion. Don't worry, you'll be joining an experienced team within a well-established contractor operating throughout the UK and Ireland.

Should You Apply?

We think Quantity Surveyors with experience within a main contracting environment should apply. After speaking with the hiring manager, if you have experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, cost reporting, variations and final accounts, you'll have a strong chance of being successful. A Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related qualification would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical construction experience will also be considered. This role could suit someone with a couple of years' experience looking to develop their career, or a more experienced Surveyor seeking a fresh challenge within a growing contractor.
