CNC Machinist £15.00 – £18.00 Per Hour Depending on experience Further Information 4 day week, Monday to Fridays starting 7am and finishing 5:45pm Overtime available on Fridays and weekends if desired at 1.5 times rate 30 days holidays per annum inc stats Aviva Private Health Care Package Job Description Set up and Operate 3 & 5 Axis machine tools, DMG Mori, Hermle and Doosan with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls. Prove out new programs, build up new tools as per job tooling lists. Dimensionally check components using various hand held instruments such as Vernier\’s, bore mics, Micrometers and gauges etc. Read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding tolerances and the required checks to be carried out. Criteria Previous experience as a CNC machinist or setter operator is essential. This can be varied in how much experience the candidate has as we have a range of roles as a CNC machinist for different experience levels but would need to have a minimum of 1 year. Ability to set up and prove out a program and carry out basic dimensional checks is essential Experience of using handheld inspection tools and demonstrate competent use of these and recording the results An NVQ relevant to Engineering would be desirable but not essential.
