Roles and responsibilities include:
- Lead and support a positive team culture, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management.
- Always safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Lead, coach, supervise and develop staff through inductions, supervision, appraisals and training.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and incident management processes.
- Monitor records, reports and compliance documentation to ensure regulatory standards are met.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and work collaboratively with families, social workers, education and healthcare professionals.
- Support recruitment, staff performance management and continuous professional development.
- Ensure the home operates in line with company policies, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Promote positive outcomes for young people, supporting their education, health, independence, emotional wellbeing and family relationships.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, nurturing and structured home environment.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during incidents, emergencies and crisis situations.
- Drive continuous improvement, reflective practice and high standards of care across the service.
What we're looking for:
- A minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people.
- A Qualification in Social Work Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or a relevant subject.
- Experience in Managing and Leading a team.
- Full driving license.
- Full rights to work in the UK.
