Managing Quantity Surveyor Permanent Opportunity | Northern Ireland An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a growing business in a senior commercial leadership role. This position is ideal for an experienced Senior QS or Managing QS looking to take ownership of the commercial function, providing strategic commercial and contractual support across multiple projects while working closely with Directors and operational teams. The Role As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in protecting project profitability, managing commercial risk and ensuring contracts are administered effectively. You will lead commercial reviews, support contract negotiations and provide financial reporting and commercial guidance across the business. Key Responsibilities Review contract terms and conditions for new projects and identify commercial risks. Lead contract negotiations alongside operational teams. Act as the regional lead for contractual and commercial matters. Negotiate and finalise contract documentation for new projects. Manage contract administration across NEC and other forms of contract. Monitor applications, valuations, invoicing and payment procedures. Prepare project cashflow forecasts and monthly commercial reporting. Support Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors with budgets, forecasting and commercial advice. Chair monthly commercial review meetings across live projects. Identify opportunities to improve margins and mitigate commercial risk. Support dispute resolution with clients and subcontractors where required. Prepare monthly WIP reports and commercial updates for the Board. What We're Looking For Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction or similar (or equivalent experience). Significant experience in a Senior QS or Managing QS position. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and other standard forms of contract. Excellent commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills. Experience managing commercial reporting, forecasting and cashflow. Strong leadership, organisational and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. High level of IT proficiency.
