An excellent opportunity has arisen for a PLC Software Engineer to join a leading engineering manufacturer specialising in automated machinery and Ground Support Equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong PLC programming experience who enjoys working on real machinery, improving systems, and solving technical problems in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The Role:
- Program and develop PLC software for automated machinery and industrial systems
- Test, debug and optimise PLC control systems to improve performance and reliability
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers on integrated automation projects
- Support HMI development and system interfaces
- Fault-find and troubleshoot PLC and control system issues
- Improve existing automation systems and machine efficiency
- Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams and control logic
The Requirements:
- Experience as a PLC Software Engineer, PLC Programmer or Controls Engineer
- Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar)
- Background in automation, manufacturing, machinery or industrial equipment
- Experience with HMI systems and control panels
- Ability to fault-find and solve technical issues on live systems
- Electrical or Mechatronic qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
- Experience with CAN Bus / vehicle systems (desirable)
