The Job in a Nutshell:

Your role will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault-finding on heavy plant and mechanical equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation across sand and quarry sites in Northern Ireland.

You Will Be:

  • Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime and maintain plant performance
  • Working safely in line with company health & safety policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Completing maintenance records, breakdown logs, and repair documentation accurately
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost control

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence
