The Job in a Nutshell:
Your role will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault-finding on heavy plant and mechanical equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation across sand and quarry sites in Northern Ireland.
You Will Be:
- Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Diagnosing mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime and maintain plant performance
- Working safely in line with company health & safety policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Completing maintenance records, breakdown logs, and repair documentation accurately
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost control

Experience / Qualifications:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or similar
- Proven experience in a quarry, sand plant, heavy industry, or manufacturing maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Full UK driving licence
