An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a growing civil engineering and infrastructure team delivering major projects across civils, drainage, and utility sectors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership on site, leading engineering activities, and working within a fast-paced project environment where quality, safety, and delivery are paramount.
You will play a key role in supporting project delivery from a technical and construction perspective while working closely with Project Managers, Site Agents, and wider operational teams.
The Role
As Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day engineering functions on site, supporting junior engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will be heavily involved in site coordination, quality control, documentation, and maintaining strong communication between site teams, clients, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across live construction projects
- Assist Project Managers and Senior Site Agents with site operations
- Support and mentor Junior Engineers with surveying and setting out
- Ensure all works are delivered to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate plant, materials, and site resources effectively
- Maintain accurate site diaries and project documentation
- Attend site meetings and contribute to resolving on-site issues
- Promote and maintain excellent health & safety standards
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

- Previous experience in a Senior Engineer position within construction or civil engineering
- Strong background in civils, drainage, or utilities projects
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently and under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
