Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support a positive team culture, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective rota management.
  • Always safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Lead, coach, supervise and develop staff through inductions, supervision, appraisals and training.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and incident management processes.
  • Monitor records, reports and compliance documentation to ensure regulatory standards are met.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and work collaboratively with families, social workers, education and healthcare professionals.
  • Support recruitment, staff performance management and continuous professional development.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with company policies, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote positive outcomes for young people, supporting their education, health, independence, emotional wellbeing and family relationships.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, nurturing and structured home environment.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during incidents, emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Drive continuous improvement, reflective practice and high standards of care across the service.

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people.
  • A Qualification in Social Work Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or a relevant subject.
  • Experience in Managing and Leading a team.
  • Full driving license.
  • Full rights to work in the UK.
