Our nationwide team of both directly employed engineers and pre-approved sub-contractors ensures quick and professional responses to planned tasks or emergencies, prioritizing business continuity and simplified solutions. We emphasize effective communication through our experienced in-house helpdesk team, offering clarity and proactive updates throughout the service process to deliver exceptional client satisfaction.
This is a full-time, permanent on-site role for an Estimator / planner at ROC Facilities Management Ltd. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for remedial visits on the back of reactive visits, maintenance projects, analysing project requirements, sourcing materials, and collaborating with internal and external colleagues. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating project scopes
- Preparing competitive quotations
- Ensuring cost-effective strategies
- Communicating with clients and ensuring that estimates align with their requirements
- Planning in approved estimates and coordinating logistics
- Assisting the helpdesk in the day-to-day running of operations
- Participating in an on-call rota for reactive helpdesk enquiries as the business needs (usually one week in 4)
Experience required:
- Experience with cost estimation and product sourcing in the facilities management industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using estimating and budgeting software
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for client, engineer and contractor interaction and collaboration with internal teams
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Previous experience in the maintenance, construction, or facilities management sector is highly advantageous
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines whilst working as a team
