Laser Operator in Bradley

We are recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in the Bilston area, on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery who takes pride in producing high-quality components, working accurately to technical drawings and maintaining efficient production processes.

Key duties:

• Set up and operate tube laser cutting machinery to meet production requirements.
• Interpret 2D CAD drawings and ensure components meet customer specifications.
• Select and set up appropriate lenses, load programmes and adjust machine parameters to suit material type and thickness.
• Select, inspect and load materials safely using an overhead crane.
• Identify and resolve machine set-up, programming and production issues where possible.
• Carry out quality checks using appropriate gauging and measurement techniques.
• Follow quality, process control and health and safety procedures.
• Monitor production quality and **escalate** issues when necessary.
• Pack finished components in line with customer requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery.
• Ability to interpret 2D CAD drawings.
• Understanding of material types, thicknesses and machine set-up requirements.
• Knowledge of quality control and measurement techniques.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A valid overhead crane licence.
• A strong commitment to safe working practices, accuracy and quality.
• Experience operating BLM tube laser equipment would be advantageous
