Laser Operator in Bradley, Wolverhampton

We are recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in the Bilston area, on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery who takes pride in producing high-quality components, working accurately to technical drawings and maintaining efficient production processes. Key duties: * Set up and operate tube laser cutting machinery to meet production requirements. * Interpret 2D CAD drawings and ensure components meet customer specifications. * Select and set up appropriate lenses, load programmes and adjust machine parameters to suit material type and thickness. * Select, inspect and load materials safely using an overhead crane. * Identify and resolve machine set-up, programming and production issues where possible. * Carry out quality checks using appropriate gauging and measurement techniques. * Follow quality, process control and health and safety procedures. * Monitor production quality and escalate issues when necessary. * Pack finished components in line with customer requirements. The successful candidate will have: * Previous experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery. * Ability to interpret 2D CAD drawings. * Understanding of material types, thicknesses and machine set-up requirements. * Knowledge of quality control and measurement techniques. * Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * A valid overhead crane licence. * A strong commitment to safe working practices, accuracy and quality. * Experience operating BLM tube laser equipment would be advantageous
