Tube Laser Operator Bilston Up to £15.72 Full-time: 37.5 hours per week Rotating shifts (with shift allowance) We are recruiting for an experienced Tube Laser Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in the Bilston area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery who takes pride in producing high-quality components, working accurately to technical drawings and maintaining efficient production processes. Key duties: · Set up and operate tube laser cutting machinery to meet production requirements. · Interpret 2D CAD drawings and ensure components meet customer specifications. · Select and set up appropriate lenses, load programmes and adjust machine parameters to suit material type and thickness. · Select, inspect and load materials safely using an overhead crane. · Identify and resolve machine set-up, programming and production issues where possible. · Carry out quality checks using appropriate gauging and measurement techniques. · Follow quality, process control and health and safety procedures. · Monitor production quality and escalate issues when necessary. · Pack finished components in line with customer requirements. The successful candidate will have: · Previous experience setting and operating tube laser cutting machinery. · Ability to interpret 2D CAD drawings. · Understanding of material types, thicknesses and machine set-up requirements. · Knowledge of quality control and measurement techniques. · Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. · A valid overhead crane licence. · A strong commitment to safe working practices, accuracy and quality. · Experience operating BLM tube laser equipment would be advantageous.
