Our client, a well-established business, are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to support their busy operations team.
What's on offer:
- Shift Pattern – 6am – 3pm Or 9am – 6pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily transport schedules and reallocating work where required due to driver absence or vehicle issues
- Ensuring customers are kept updated regarding delays, failed collections, or service disruptions
- Rebooking outstanding jobs and ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales
- Responding to customer emails, account queries, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner
- Supporting drivers with site issues, route queries, and delivery instructions
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day transport operations
- Escalating operational issues where necessary and ensuring appropriate action is taken
- Monitoring and updating transport records, spreadsheets, and operational paperwork accurately
- Sending proof of delivery documents, permits, and compliance documentation when required
- Assisting with accident reporting and ensuring incidents are communicated correctly internally
- Providing clear instructions and updates to drivers regarding collections, deliveries, and time-sensitive jobs
- Maintaining strong communication across the transport team to ensure service levels are achieved
