Contracts Coordinator required with a background in civils/construction to work for a specialist civils contractor based in central Wokingham. This company offer a unique system to the soil stabilisation sector and are seeking an enthusiastic person to manage the various responsibilities to support the Contracts Manager and the Site Managers based out in the field. This is a varied role with duties ranging from basic office tasks such as answering telephone enquiries and emails, filing reports etc to more in-depth involvement to ongoing projects such as organising plant hire, arranging the delivery of materials and organising tanker transport to various sites across the UK. Other responsibities include liaising with subcontractors to confirm start dates for individual projects, sourcing prices and checking on availability of materials and plant. The Contracts Coordinator will work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure the smooth running of sites, manage the Health & Safety
files, assist with costings of jobs, keep the job lists up to date and general office management. This is an interesting and varied role for which full training will be given with regard to the function and service provided by the company. The company is willing to invest in the progression of the right candidate who can display an enthusiam and willingness to learn. Ideally the Contracts Coordinator will have some knowledge and experience of the construction industry, especially on the civils/groundworks side. The position would suit an Administrator who may have previously worked for a building contractor, or a site-based professional from the civils / plant industry that is looking to move into an office based role. You will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), a polite telephone manner, be able to priorities and organise your workload as well as provide a reliable back-up system to the on-site teams
