Rate: £16.50 ph depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), either 8am or 9am start time
Job Type: Full-time hours, temporary, PAYE, paid weekly in arrears
Senior Warehouse Operative/Supervisor duties will include:
- Overview Senior Warehouse Operative/Supervisor responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and safely to keep warehouse operations running smoothly daily.
Responsibilities:
- Unload, check and receive goods into the warehouse
- Goods in/out
- Pick and pack items for production team
- Operate forklifts (mainly Counterbalance) safely and efficiently – in date licence required
- Carry out stock checks and support inventory audits
- Maintain accurate stock records using handheld scanners and PCs
- Keep work areas clean, tidy and compliant with safety and hygiene standards
- Work as part of a close-knit logistics team to meet customer deadlines
Qualifications:
- In-date Counterbalance forklift licence
- Experience in coordinating reception, storage, picking and dispatch operations
- Proven ability to manage stock control systems and handwriting/PC-based records
Previous experience:
- As a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader
- Good IT and stock control skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Team player with great communication and a can-do attitude
