Position: Warehouse Operative – requires full UK driving license

Salary: £26,000 pa - IRO (£12.50 ph)

Benefits: Auto Enrolment Staff Pension, Staff Discount Scheme, WeCare, Death in Service after probationary period (6 months)

Holiday: 25 days holiday + BH – 3 held back for Christmas

Location: Biggin Hill

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm 40 hours per week.

Our established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative - skills and experience required:

  • UK driving license, ideally own transport
  • Stock control knowledge – good in/out using barcode reader
  • Able to use hand tools – drills, screwdrivers etc
  • Physically fit to pack finished goods in correct manner
  • Able to use a scanner gun
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Aware of good H&S in the workplace
  • Good time management
  • Forklift certification beneficial but not essential
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Warehouse Operative job description:

  • Manual handling of goods/boxes – onto pallets and shelving within the Stores/Warehouse.
  • Barcode scanning, consisting of - Receipting of goods in, scanning activity within the facility, picking of stock parts, and packing lists for projects.
  • Frequent stock management activity – regular stock checks.
  • Packing of finished goods for shipping.
  • Assembling of shipping crates – frequent use of power drills.
  • MHE use (I.e. Hand Pallet truck) to move palletized stock within the facility.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust, and mop.
