Job Types: Full-time, Permanent – onsite no hybrid working
Hours: 39 hours per week – flexible between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday
Overtime: available when required, paid at time and a half in the week and on Saturday

As part of a team, the Test Engineer will be responsible for mechanical and electrical testing of completed projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of mechanical and electrical testing of electrical panels (metering solutions) including insulation resistance, secondary injections, configuration of various devices etc.
- Full ownership of test area; Providing input to test schedule.
- Testing documentation and protocols.
- Coordination of all testing phases; Performing witness acceptance tests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testing objectives are met to budget and on time.
- Identify and lead testing risk and put control in place to mitigate.
- Run EHS (Environment, health and safety) in connection with testing of projects.
- Support and assist the management team to supervise the progress of works and ensure that the testing targets are met and effect remedial action where required.
- Make sure technical standards are maintained in all aspects of testing work in order that safe and successful project implementation.
- Occasional support with commissioning works at customers premises.
Skills and Attributes:
- Electrical engineering or systems engineering technical background required.
- Experience working in similar role/environment advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and an engineering curiosity attitude.
- Knowledge of power industry, high voltage transmission and distribution networks.
- Knowledge of precision high accuracy metering advantageous (CoP1, CoP2).
- Ability to interpret and use project documentation including electrical schematics.
- Experience in SCADA, control systems and communication protocols advantageous.
- Experience in programming of switches & routers, integration and interface with other communications systems advantageous.
