Our established M&E services installer is seeking a Commercial Manager. The role will suit a Commercial Manager who has proven experience/success in the running and completing of multiple projects, developing and maintaining relationships with Clients. Our client will also consider applications from Senior Estimator/QS candidates looking for promotion.
Salary: depending on relevant industry experience – disclosed at registration
Location: Rochester – no hybrid working
Sites: London, mainly based within M25
Hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm or 8am to 5pm, 1 hour lunch break

This role will be Head of Commercial (electrical) for the company working closely with the MD and Mechanical Commercial Manager - with 1 direct report - a trainee/apprentice QS. The work is new build residential, mainly apartments (high-rise). Project values currently range from £100k to £4m.
- Responsible for pricing enquiries/submitting tenders
- Attending post-tender, pre-contact meetings and new work negotiations
- Establishing & controlling budgets for labour & materials
- Contract and scope reviews in order to highlight variations and subsequent pricing of the same
- S/C procurement, negotiations & sub-contracts
- Cost reporting and monthly CVRs – outlining performance, drilling-down on specific items/areas of concern etc. – presentation to Group Directors
- Working closely with other departments within the group of businesses
- Commercial experience with an M, E or M&E company is essential
