Our client is seeking a Production Line Machine Operator to join their team on a 3-shift rota, Monday to Friday.
Salary: Β£35,151.00 pa inc SA Basic: Β£29,737.00
Location: Purfleet, Essex
Hours: rotating early, late and night shifts
Overtime: when required would be paid at x1.5 on Saturdays and x2 on Sunday
Production Line Machine Operator requirements:
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent).
- Good basic Maths & English skills.
- Experience in manufacturing/factory environment beneficial but not essential.
Production Line Machine Operator job description:
- Safely and efficiently operating a limited range of packaging line equipment in accordance with the production plan, ensuring product quality standards are met as part of the company Production team.
- Responsible for own personal safety and that of others working in their vicinity.
- Ensuring product quality standards are maintained by following documented procedures and through high standards of cleanliness, GMP compliance, accurate record keeping and participation in audits.
- Ensuring safe start-up, running and shutdown of plant and machinery and carrying out product, packaging and size changeovers.
- Basic fault finding and rectification activities on packaging lines.
- Liaising and assisting the maintenance department in dealing with more complex line issues.
- Effective communication between shifts, departments and layers of organisation.
- Developing wider equipment knowledge.
- Participation in Performance Excellence improvement activities where appropriate.
