Our client, an established membership organization, is seeking a Bookkeeper; this is a newly created permanent position open to candidates seeking to work remotely either full or part time.
Salary: up to £30,000 pa (pro rata) + annual bonus
Working hours: Flexible – full or part time C25 hours pw. Core hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm, 37.5 hours pw (if full time)
Holiday Entitlement: 27 days per annum (pro rata) + BH
Location: Fully remote with occasional travel to team meetings (expensed)
Other benefits: after 3-month probationary period – private healthcare
Requirements: Bookkeeper candidates will need fast and reliable broadband/home phone line.
Overall Objective: To assist the business owners in all accounts/company administration up to trial balance.
- Accounts:
- Updating QuickBooks / Stripe
- Banking, as and when payments are received
- Checking and reconciling expenses
- Reconciliation of the credit cards
- Reconciliation of the Company’s bank accounts
- Preparation of year end accounts for the accountant
- Preparation and completion of the quarterly VAT Return with the accountant
- Preparation of the P11D
- Keep up to date on all credit control – calls, letters etc
- To be aware of the payment history of current clients and to ensure that late paying clients are chased for funds
- To ensure that the Partners are made aware of any new clients that do not pay on time, of any clients that have an outstanding balance of £5K and above and of any clients that are refusing to pay invoices due to queries
- To keep all spreadsheets that relate company figures up to date on a weekly basis
- To run daily data checks on QBs accounts
- Ordering office stationery, computer equipment, booking hotels etc
- To keep up to date records – permanent employees, memberships etc
- General PA duties to the Partners as requested
Desirable to assist with HR administration and general company admin e.g. H&S, insurance policies, legal documents etc.
