Job Description

Our manufacturing Client is seeking an experienced Production Inspector (electronics).The role is offered as a permanent, full time position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Salary: Β£25,000 to Β£26,000 pa OT when required – weekly pay

Location: near Dartford

Hours: 39 pw

9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm Friday

Benefits: 25 days leave BH, uniform, pension etc

The Production Inspector role will be responsible for inspecting key component groups before product is released from the production area; ensuring feedback for all non-conforming product is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.

Production Inspector – Skills/experience required:

  • Experience within electronic manufacturing environment preferred – PCBs
  • Understanding of IPC-A-610 or qualification preferred.
  • Able to identify components including resistor colour codes.
  • General standard of education required.

Production Inspector – MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To perform full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release from the area.
  • To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
  • To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
  • To be competent in the use of Inspection tools (magnifiers etc) for PCB manufacturing.
  • To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.
  • To understand IPC 610 standards with regard to conventional assembly.
  • To highlight any build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision.
  • To ensure section area is clean, tidy and safe for all staff at all times.
  • To carry out First Offs against Product Bill Of Materials and customer specifications.
