As we continue to expand the team, we need a Midweight Graphic Designer to help bring ideas and content to life for our clients’ social platforms. Leading with ideas and developing those concepts through to delivery. They live in the world of layout and know how to challenge it to draw the users’ eye. Digital design is the bread and butter of this role, so a strong understanding of composition and motion is a must. This will be a balance of static assets and motion outputs, so strong skills in After Effects are required. The perfect candidate will be hardworking and willing to roll their sleeves up and do whatever is needed to deliver for our clients – this can involve long hours when deadlines are due.
Reporting to the Senior Designer, you will be responsible for delivering assets to a high standard and tracking project components that affect this. You’ll need to be motivated and positive; a can-do mentality is a must. We have a flat structure and believe no idea is a bad idea so there is lots of room to make your mark when it comes to design, ideation, process and structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering both static and motion content for a wide range of clients in a fast-paced environment.
- A high attention to detail with design craft and consistent output.
- Concepting content ideas and supporting that growth.
- Work within the Design team alongside Digital and Creative designers.
- Mentoring more junior members of the team on topics such as collaboration, layout, ideation and type design.
- Chip in to all levels of the process, whether it be art working, making amends, coming up with new concepts for a campaign or art direction ideas.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A considerable amount of agency or studio design experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Suite (bonus if you know Blender or 3D tools).
- Portfolio brimming with high quality work across brand activations, campaigns and a variety of formats including OOH, motion and concepting.
- Highly creative with good typography knowledge.
- Solid knowledge of social media platforms and what content works and why.
- Great attention to detail with ability to QA briefs and your own work, suggesting alternative ideas and approaches where appropriate.
- Adept at taking briefs and working on your own initiative, having the confidence to ask questions, turning to your peers for support and guidance where needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time.
- A hard worker who’s not afraid to pull your sleeves up and get on with it.
- Ambitious, growth mindset, hungry to succeed, with a passion for best-in-class creativity and perfection in delivery.
- An excellent communicator able to work with people at all levels from different functions.
