An established and highly regarded law firm in Torquay is looking to recruit a Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its respected Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in Care & Capacity, Mental Capacity Law or Court of Protection work who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm.

The Role

  • Manage your own varied caseload while working closely with experienced colleagues and Partners.
  • Advising vulnerable clients and their families on Mental Capacity matters.
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
  • Managing Deputyship applications through the Court of Protection.
  • Representing clients in Court of Protection proceedings.
  • Advising on health and welfare issues, safeguarding and financial management.
  • Delivering clear, compassionate legal advice tailored to individual client needs.
  • Building long-term relationships with clients, families and professional contacts.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives (CILEx).
  • Lawyers with experience in Court of Protection, Care & Capacity or Mental Capacity work.
  • Newly Qualified Solicitors looking to specialise in this rewarding area of Private Client law.
  • Experienced practitioners seeking a long-term career move.
