Litigation Solicitor β Stoke-on-Trent
An established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in commercial litigation and civil dispute resolution who is looking to manage a varied caseload while contributing to the continued expansion of a successful department.
The successful candidate will advise a broad range of clients on complex and high-value disputes along with playing an active role in business development, building professional relationships and supporting the firm's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Litigation Solicitor will be responsible for managing a broad range of contentious matters, including:
- Commercial disputes, including shareholder, partnership and director disputes.
- Commercial and residential property litigation.
- Contractual disputes and breach of contract claims.
- Professional negligence matters.
- Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings.
- Insolvency-related disputes.
- Defamation claims.
- Restrictive covenant and post-termination disputes.
- Managing County Court and High Court litigation from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Representing clients during negotiations, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
- Advising clients on litigation strategy, legal risk and costs throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery of commercially focused legal advice.
- Developing new business opportunities through networking, marketing initiatives and professional referrals.
- Contributing to the mentoring and development of colleagues and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional client care.
About you
The ideal Litigation Solicitor will possess
- Experience managing a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters.
- Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution and litigation procedures.
- Experience handling County Court and High Court proceedings, including advocacy where appropriate.
- A commercial approach to legal problem-solving and client advice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards business development and networking.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
