About the Role Our client is looking for an organised and proactive Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to its legal team.
This is a varied and fast-paced role involving client communication, diary management, preparation of legal documents and general administrative support to help lawyers operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients in the absence of the lawyer
- Answering and managing telephone calls, messages and client enquiries
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents using the case management system
- Opening and closing files and maintaining accurate records
- Managing diaries, appointments and meetings for lawyers
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support
- Progressing cases within the limits of the role as directed by the lawyer
- Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Maintaining filing systems and ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Supporting colleagues and assisting with training where required
