Overview A leading Devon law firm is expanding its specialist Court of Protection and Private Client team and is now recruiting a Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive for its Plymouth office.
This is a newly prioritised hire offering hybrid working, strong support, and clear progression.

The Role – Court of Protection / Mental Capacity Law You will join a well-established specialist team handling a varied and rewarding caseload, including:
- Court of Protection matters under the Mental Capacity Act
- Supporting vulnerable adults, children, and elderly clients
- Managing financial affairs, deputyships, and trustee matters
- Liaising with families, care providers, and professionals
- Visiting clients in care settings and at home where required
- Working closely with financial advisers on long-term planning
- Candidate Profile
- Solicitor or Legal Executive (including NQ considered)
- Court of Protection experience beneficial but not essential
- Background in private client, family law, or litigation welcomed
- Strong interest in Mental Capacity / vulnerable client work
- Excellent communication and client care skills
