Risk Lawyer Top International Firm is seeking to hire a new proactive and capable Risk Lawyer.
The role will sit within the UK Risk Management Team based in the London office and will report to the Head of Risk.
The role will have a general remit, providing day-to-day risk and compliance support across the UK practice.

Responsibilities: Supporting both the Head of Risk and Director of Risk (who is also the firm's COLP) to satisfy all regulatory requirements for the UKIME offices with a particular focus on the offices in Dubai and Ireland.
Assisting in the updating of engagement documentation and Terms of Business, with a focus on the offices in Dubai and Ireland, to ensure compliance with regulations.
Delivering training on risk issues including for the offices in Dubai and Ireland.
Horizon scanning in relation to regulatory issues likely to affect any of the UKIME offices.
Supporting other Business Professionals Teams and Practice Area Groups in the UKIME offices with ad hoc queries about risk issues affecting the firm.
Reviewing and updating the firm's risk management policies, procedures and precedents for the UKIME offices on a regular basis to ensure they remain current and fit for purpose with a focus on the offices in Dubai and Ireland.
Supporting the broader Risk team in the day-to-day management of risk and compliance matters.
Contributing to the development and maintenance of the firm's risk management framework, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where appropriate.
Risk Lawyer Skills & Requirements: A person with at least 2 years' experience in a risk and compliance role in a commercial international law firm.
Working knowledge of regulatory issues affecting solicitors and lawyers in different jurisdictions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust within the business and in the team.
Able to provide pragmatic, commercial and creative solutions under pressure; Ability to challenge where required and still maintain relationships, especially in the face of competing demands.
Ensuring that knowledge is shared with others in the relevant manner, be it in team meetings, training sessions or via policy.
Pro-actively supporting the rest of the risk management team, demonstrating initiative, independence and teamwork.
