You will join a highly respected team working on complex, high value patent litigation matters, with a particular focus on the technology and telecommunications sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of patent litigation matters under partner supervision.
  • Assisting on complex, high value UK and cross border patent disputes.
  • Advising clients on contentious intellectual property matters, with a focus on technology and telecommunications.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, expert evidence and court documents.
  • Supporting advocacy preparation, hearings and trial strategy.
  • Conducting legal and technical research on complex patent issues.
  • Working closely with clients, experts, counsel and overseas advisers.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with between 2 and 4 years' post qualification experience.
  • Experience handling patent litigation matters gained at a recognised private practice.
  • Strong academic background with excellent analytical and drafting skills.
  • Experience advising clients within the technology, telecommunications or other innovative sectors would be advantageous.
  • A STEM degree, particularly in Physics or Engineering, would be highly advantageous, although this is not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine interest in developing a long term career in patent litigation.
