NQ Criminal Solicitor β Leeds
A highly regarded regional law firm based in the heart of Leeds is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor or Senior Paralegal to join its Personal Injury and Inquests team.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to develop expertise in a unique and growing area of law: criminal defence work with a focus on Dangerous Dogs Act cases.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and manage a specialist caseload of Dangerous Dogs Act matters, including prohibited breeds and out-of-control dog cases
- Support representation of clients at police stations, the Magistrates' Court and Crown Court
- Provide high-quality, client-focused legal support and advice
- Draft legal documents, statements and correspondence
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant criminal law and procedures
- Work closely with experienced Solicitors while developing your own case management skills
About You
- Newly Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or an experienced Senior Paralegal with strong exposure to criminal law
- Previous experience assisting with criminal matters or court preparation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong IT literacy and attention to detail
- An interest in developing expertise in Dangerous Dogs Act cases (experience in this area is advantageous but not essential)
