Job Summary
As a Field Supervisor, you will be the link between our office team, Care Professionals and the people we support.
You will ensure that every client receives safe, compassionate and high-quality care while supporting and developing our Care Professionals to achieve the highest standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the community, building positive relationships, solving problems and leading by example.
You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with CQC standards while promoting Reach Out24 Healthcare's culture of professionalism, dignity, respect and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular spot checks and observational visits to ensure care is delivered to Reach Out24 Healthcare standards.
- Complete care plan reviews and ensure documentation accurately reflects clients' current needs.
- Carry out environmental and individual risk assessments.
- Monitor the quality of care and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure care records are accurate, compliant and completed to a high standard.
- Support the Registered Manager in preparing for CQC inspections and quality audits.
- Staff Support & Development
- Supervise, mentor and coach Care Professionals in the field.
- Conduct probation reviews, one-to-one supervisions and competency assessments.
- Support the induction of new Care Professionals through shadowing and practical coaching.
- Identify training needs and work with the management team to improve staff competence.
- Promote a positive team culture built on accountability, professionalism and teamwork.
- Client Care
- Complete new client assessments and introductions.
- Build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Ensure care is personalised, respectful and promotes independence.
- Respond promptly to concerns, complaints and compliments.
- Support clients and staff during changes to care packages or complex situations.
- Clinical & Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor medication practices and undertake medication competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns immediately.
- Monitor Moving & Handling practice and Infection Prevention & Control standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, medication errors and complaints, producing reports and action plans where required.
- Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, company policies and relevant legislation.
- Operational Support
- Work closely with the Registered Manager, Care Coordinators and office team to maintain excellent service delivery.
- Support emergency care calls where operationally required.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Represent Reach Out24 Healthcare professionally when liaising with Local Authorities, NHS professionals, GPs and other partner agencies.
- Contribute ideas that improve service quality, efficiency and client outcomes.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people and is passionate about delivering outstanding home care.
Essential
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (minimum).
Experience working within domiciliary care in a Senior Carer, Team Leader or Field Supervisor role.
Excellent understanding of safeguarding, medication management and person-centred care.
Good knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confident using digital care systems and Microsoft Office.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Access to a reliable vehicle insured for business use.
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care (or willingness to undertake).
Experience conducting care assessments and reviews.
Experience supporting CQC inspections.
Knowledge of electronic care management systems
