Company Description
About us
Hello, we’re Reach. Every day, our trusted news, stories and content connect with millions of people where they live - whether that’s on their social feed or at their neighbourhood newsstand; through their local community or their take on the hot topic of the day.
We're home to more than 120 brands - from household names like the Mirror, Express, Daily Star and Daily Record, to local titles like MyLondon, BelfastLive, and the Manchester Evening News, and brands making a splash in the US like the Irish Star. It's our ability to understand people and the things that matter to them that makes us Britain and Ireland's largest commercial news publisher. We reach around 70% of the UK's online population, 10% of the US online population, and over 100 million social followers around the world, connecting with them on who they are, where they live and what they love.
Your story, with Reach

We know everyone has their own story to tell, so we’ve built an environment where every background is respected and every day is a day to explore. We’ll help you build a career that works with your life, while giving you the space to create and grow.
About the Role
Yimbly is seeking a strategic, data-driven Digital Visual Merchandiser to serve as our digital window dresser and brand guardian. In this newly created role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end visual journey across Yimbly.com transforming traffic into transactions. This is a pivotal, independent position joined at a critical moment in our growth. You will be responsible for architecting a high-converting digital storefront that balances stunning aesthetics with commercial rigor, directly driving CVR and product discoverability. Please note although this is a remote position the team meet up once a quarter at Canary Wharf for strategy planning / team achievements.
Your Mission & Impact
- Digital Storefront & Merchandising: You will own the visual hierarchy of the Homepage and Category pages, leveraging both automated sequencing rules like "Trending" or "High Margin" and manual curation for high-impact events like Black Friday. By refining product filters and attribute tagging, you will ensure the catalog remains fresh, discoverable, and aligned with seasonal customer trends.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: In partnership with the Data Executive, you will analyze heatmaps and CTR data to iterate on site layouts. You will lead onsite A/B testing for merchandising tactics, constantly experimenting to improve conversion rates and average order value.
- Brand Championship & Digital Visual Execution: As our primary Onsite Brand Guardian, you will ensure a cohesive, premium look across all devices. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing and Trading teams to translate brand campaigns into high-converting digital storefronts, ensuring promotional assets are seamlessly integrated into the customer journey.
- Seller & Brand Page Activation: You will work directly with Marketplace sellers to optimise their dedicated Brand Pages, respecting their unique identities while upholding Yimbly’s standards. You will create bespoke storytelling environments using immersive content and curated layouts that resonate deeply with our audience.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Commercial & Analytical Proficiency: You are a naturally analytical thinker, proficient in using tools like Google Analytics to turn data into design decisions. You have a proven track record of improving CVR through layout optimization and rigorous A/B testing, ensuring every aesthetic choice serves a commercial purpose.
- E-Commerce Expertise & Platform Knowledge: You bring expert knowledge of e-commerce merchandising tools and automated collection logic—such as Shopify or Klevu—gained from a background in visual merchandising. You understand the mechanics of a high-performance retail environment and how to manage the technical side of product findability and sequencing.
- Collaborative Brand Management: As a "Commercial Creative," you possess a sharp eye for on-brand design balanced with a trading mindset. You are a collaborative influencer who can work cross-functionally with Marketing, Design, and external sellers to execute multi-channel campaigns. You have experience managing brand identities and can confidently lead the visual side of marketing activations.
- Strategic Experience: Working within a high-traffic publishing or media-led retail ecosystem is highly desirable. Most importantly, you are a driven professional who understands how to manage the "site-as-a-story" while keeping a firm grip on the metrics that drive growth.
