Location: Plymouth Based (hybrid delivery model of home and site based according to business requirements)

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade D £26,824 rising to a maximum of £29,540 per annum

Contract Type: Full time, Permanent

Contract Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (Alternative working patterns considered but core hours must be Monday to Friday)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our rapidly developing Multi Academy Trust for a talented Administrator to join our team. Our People Team is responsible for delivering a quality, responsive and professional service to the Trust within a busy, and at times pressurised working environment. As the People Team Administrator, you will report directly to the Resourcing & OD Manager, working closely with the Resourcing & OD Lead to deliver an efficient and responsive People Team service across the function. Your responsibilities will include dealing with day-to-day enquiries coming into the People email inbox and general administration in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and organisational development.

About the successful candidate

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a busy team within an organisation of more than 300+ employees and will have the ability to build effective working relationships and a willingness to collaborate. You will be someone who feels an affinity with our values and our vision seeking a core purpose of delivering for our pupils and communities.

  • Someone who has an administrative background; preferably in a People/HR team however applicants that have a proven record in administration or recruitment and transferable skills who want to take their career into a more specialised area will be considered.
  • Someone who is customer focused, understanding how to set and exceed expectations in relation to a range of queries, recruitment and generalist HR administration and service support.
  • Has demonstrable experience in resolving problems, accuracy in data entry with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with and build effective relationships using both written and verbal communication, you will be able to support a range of queries from staff.
  • Is confident in using different systems and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software/applications.
  • Previous experience of working within Education would be advantageous, however it is not essential to be successful in this role; experience of working within a busy team (at volume) is essential.
