Are you an expert behind the camera with the passion to capture and edit exciting content for some of the biggest news brands in the UK? We are looking for a Videographer to join our Reach Studio team.

This is a unique opportunity to work with our national and regional news brands including but not limited to The Mirror, Daily Express, Manchester Evening News and many more . You will shoot original, social, vodcast, and branded content aimed at evolving our audience engagement and expanding revenue opportunities.

Reach Studio launched last year and is a unique blend of editorial and commercial talent, serving multimedia content to both our audiences and advertising partners. Our dynamic team is made up of highly skilled producers, editors, designers and social media experts. Reach Studio has already launched a variety of content and podcasts including our branded content Let’s Start Talking podcast, Mirror Gaming socials and an exclusive interview with Virgil van Dijk. From developing existing podcasts to producing new video shows and formats that our audiences will love, we want you to join us for what’s next.

This role works from our Canary Wharf offices 5 days per week, we are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

You will ensure all video content is meticulously shot according to the brief, adhering to resource allocation, budget constraints, and deadlines, while consistently meeting quality expectations. You will shoot both short and long-form audiovisual content tailored for platforms such as Meta and YouTube, managing a dynamic production and content schedule at our London Studio. You will collaborate closely with producers to efficiently handle budgets and schedules for various projects.

You will identify and source necessary locations and resources as required, ensuring that all filming needs are met. You’ll stay ahead of the curve, sharing the latest shooting innovations with the team. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to manage projects to a high standard, strictly following Reach workflows and processes.

You will support other videographers when needed and will manage compliance with Health & Safety regulations and conduct Risk Assessments when required, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. The typical working pattern is Monday to Friday but some flexibility around major events is required to keep our studio ahead of the curve.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

You have substantial proven experience in a similar role at a production company, post-house, agency, publisher, or brand. You possess first-class video production skills, enabling you to plan, create, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality content. Your expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite is unparalleled, with exceptional skills in Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.

You are skilled in colour grading using Adobe Premiere and have experience in sound mixing and mastering. You have a passion for creating original, social, and branded content and bring initiative, problem-solving prowess, and creativity to the table daily.

You can manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and reacting quickly to breaking news. You are a master of organisation with a keen attention to detail, whether working independently or collaborating with the wider team, while your ‘can do’ attitude enables you to work well under pressure.
